01 / Junction Box Connections

15–24V DC Supply and Two Current Outputs

With power disconnected, open the junction box to access the terminals. Identify the supply connections and separate temperature and humidity outputs using the unit markings and supplied wiring instructions.

DC supply
Connect a 15–24V DC supply with the polarity specified for the unit.
Temperature output
Connect to a compatible 4–20mA input channel for temperature.
Humidity output
Connect to a separate compatible 4–20mA input channel for humidity.
Signal return
Follow the transmitter and input module diagrams for the return connections.

02 / Temperature Range

Match the Range to the Receiving Inputs

The DIP switches select the temperature measuring range. Configure the receiving equipment to interpret the current signals using the corresponding measurement scales.

  1. With power disconnected, select the required temperature range using the switch diagram.
  2. Configure both receiving channels for 4–20mA current input.
  3. Match the temperature channel to the selected temperature range and the humidity channel to the specified humidity range.

Example: With the transmitter set to 0–50°C, configure the temperature channel for a 4–20mA input representing 0–50°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about current outputs, controller compatibility, power requirements and installation.

Does FG7020 provide both temperature and humidity outputs?

Yes. FG7020 provides separate 4–20mA current signals for air temperature and relative humidity. Reading both measurements requires two compatible current input channels on the receiving equipment.

Can FG7020 connect to my PLC or controller?

It can connect to equipment with compatible 4–20mA analog inputs. Check the input module's connection requirements, signal return wiring and measurement scaling against the transmitter instructions.

FG7020 requires a 15–24V DC supply. Send us the controller or input module model if you need help checking the electrical match.

How does FG7020 differ from FG7010 and FG6020?

FG7020 combines 4–20mA current outputs with an aluminum junction box. FG7010 has a similar junction-box structure and provides analog voltage outputs.

FG6020 also provides current outputs, using a compact probe-style body with an attached cable. Compare each model's power requirements, dimensions and wiring arrangement before selecting.

How do I select the temperature measuring range?

With power disconnected, access the DIP switches inside the junction box and follow the terminal and range-setting instructions . Available ranges are 0–50°C, −20–80°C, −40–60°C and −40–120°C, with 0–50°C as the default setting.

Configure the receiving temperature channel for a 4–20mA input representing the same selected temperature range.

Can the probe measure water or other liquids?

FG7020 measures air temperature and relative humidity. Expose the sensing end to the air being measured; do not immerse the probe in water or other liquids.

Describe any condensation, direct spray, dust or unusual air composition so we can check suitability for the installation.

What mounting and wiring access should I allow?

This page shows the flange-mounted configuration. Check the probe insertion space, duct opening and flange position against the dimensional drawing.

Leave clearance to open the aluminum junction box, access the wiring terminals and range switches, and route the cable through the cable gland.
