01 / Junction Box Connections

Connect Power and the Two Voltage Signals

With power disconnected, open the junction box to access the terminals. Identify the supply connections and the separate temperature and humidity outputs using the unit markings and supplied wiring instructions.

DC supply
Use the specified supply rating and polarity for the supplied configuration.
Temperature output
Connect to a compatible analog voltage input for temperature.
Humidity output
Connect to a separate compatible analog voltage input for humidity.
Signal reference
Follow the transmitter and receiving device diagrams for common and reference connections.

02 / Temperature Range

Match the Range to the Controller Scaling

The DIP switches select the temperature measuring range. Specify the required voltage output configuration when ordering.

  1. With power disconnected, set the required temperature range using the switch diagram.
  2. Configure the receiving inputs for the ordered 0–10V or 0–5V output.
  3. Match the temperature input scaling to the selected measuring range.

Example: For a 0–10V transmitter set to 0–50°C, configure the receiving temperature channel for a 0–10V input representing 0–50°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about voltage outputs, the junction box, controller compatibility and flange installation.

Does FG7010 provide 0–10V or 0–5V output?

The standard configuration provides 0–10V analog voltage outputs for temperature and humidity. A 0–5V configuration is available on request. Specify the output required by your receiving equipment when requesting a quotation.

The temperature range DIP switches select the measuring range; they do not select between these voltage output configurations.

What is the difference between FG7010 and FG6010?

FG7010 combines the probe with an aluminum junction box containing wiring terminals and temperature range switches. FG6010 uses a compact probe-style body with an attached cable.

Both are voltage output models. Compare the installation dimensions, wiring access and electrical specifications when choosing the configuration for your equipment.

Can FG7010 connect to my PLC or controller?

It can connect to equipment with compatible analog voltage inputs. Reading both temperature and humidity requires separate input channels for the two signals.

Check the input voltage range, signal reference, measurement scaling and supply requirements. Send us the controller or input module model if you need help checking the match.

How do I select the temperature measuring range?

With power disconnected, access the DIP switches inside the junction box and follow the terminal and range-setting instructions . Available ranges are 0–50°C, −20–80°C, −40–60°C and −40–120°C, with 0–50°C as the default setting.

Match the receiving temperature channel's scaling to the selected range and ordered voltage output.

Can the probe measure water or other liquids?

FG7010 measures air temperature and relative humidity. Position the sensing end in the air being measured; do not immerse the probe in water or other liquids.

Describe any condensation, spray, dust or unusual air composition so we can check suitability for the proposed location.

What installation space should I allow?

This page shows the flange-mounted configuration. Check the probe insertion space, duct opening and flange mounting position against the dimensional drawing.

Also leave clearance to open the junction box, access the terminals and switches, and route the cable through the cable gland.
